Marc’s intellectual property
practice includes providing patent searches and patentability
opinions,
patent drafting,
filing, and prosecution, non-infringement and invalidity
opinions, cease and desist letters, licensing and assignment
agreements, and trademark prosecution.
Marc has prepared
and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of technologies,
including immunology, gene delivery and therapy, microarrays,
virology, bacteriology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices,
ultrasound,
and mechanical devices.
Legal Experience
Prior to joining Achtel Law Firm, APC, Marc was an associate
attorney at Knobbe, Martens, Olson, and Bear, LLP. Through
his work there, Marc represented numerous leading
institutions including Genentech, Ashland inc, and the
Salk Institute for Biological Sciences.
During law school,
Marc externed for the honorable Napoleon Jones
