In the past he has also served as a mediator through the San Diego Municipal Courts, Del Mar Chamber of Commerce board of directors, San Diego Law Library Board of Trustees and the San Diego Justice Foundation Board of Trustees.

Olga Álvarez is an associate with the Achtel Law Firm, APC. Within the firm, Olga focuses on probate, medi-cal planning, trusts, wills and trust disputes.
Legal Experience
Prior to forming the Achtel Law Firm, Olga was an associate at Atkins & Davidson Law Firm where she practiced in the area of civil litigation. Olga has also practiced immigration law, and worked as an associate with Larrabee & Zimmerman* one of the leading law firms in California in the area of business immigration.
Prior Professional Experience
Olga’s experience prior to joining the legal profession includes working in the Science Section of the U.S. Embassy Mexico City, and developing as well as counseling students in programs that encourage the study of math and science.
Education
Olga received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law where she was inducted to the Order of the Barrister. Olga also holds a Masters Degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas, Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Volunteer Activities
Olga is an active volunteer with San Diego Elder Law and Advocacy. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park.
